MAX MENDES’ PROFILE

Being an immigrant, he also understands the unique challenges of relocation, whether it’s across the street or across the globe. Max’s ability to build strong personal relationships and negotiating skills turned his passion for Real Estate into a successful career. His down-to-earth approach and unwavering commitment to his work has enabled him to build up a vast network of homeowners, investors, landlords, and developers.

Max Mendes was born in India. He holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration. He is fluent in six languages: English, Konkani, Hindi, Kannada, Tulu & Marathi. He hails from a business family as his father was a recognized philanthropist and business person, having construction, pharmaceutical and travel companies in India.  Since business ran in his veins, he too successfully ventured into constructing several high-rise buildings in India. Canada too provided him with a perfect platform to test his ambitious plans as one of his primary goals of becoming a builder in Canada, came to fruition in 2017 when he ventured into development of properties in Toronto.

In the field of Real estate, as a Broker, he excelled and bagged numerous high achievers awards year over year, some of which were, the coveted Chairman’s Award, Red Diamond, Diamond, Platinum, President’s Gold, Service Excellence and many more. Besides real estate, Max has several flagship businesses under his belt: Settlement services, Exports, Hospitality and Software development.

Max is a visionary and leader. His passion for Konkani prodded him to form Canara World Foundation Inc. (CWF) to promote the Mangalorean culture, traditions, art, dance, language and music in Canada. CWF has been leading the way in harnessing and portraying the talents of ethnic origin community members living in Canada. He also initiated and started Canara World Foundation Inc. This organization provides affordable Catholic burial grounds in Canada, for people originating from the Konkan belt of India.

Max also championed to eliminate religious persecution of Christian minorities in Mangalore and petitioned to the Canadian authorities and Human Rights commission.

For being a promoter of these cultural activities, for his leadership qualities and community service, he has been recognized with several awards including the Prestigious Radio Mango Award, South Asian Community Award, Toastmaster’s International Leadership Award and the BMO Hero of the Game.

Max is not the “All work and no play” guy, he is an avid Marathon runner, enjoys playing Ice curling & Badminton, acting, reading and travelling around the world.

 

                                  NANCY MENDES’ PROFILE

With over three decades of professional experience, Nancy Mendes, has taken on varied roles in her occupation as an Executive assistant, Product Manager, Event Coordinator and also successfully running her own immigration consultancy business. Currently she is in the Realty business and has recently ventured into podcasting. In these varied roles, she is known for her innovative vision and unmatched expertise for her ability to adapt to the changing trends in her career.

She is admired for her strong marketing and people’s skills, she is always motivating others around her and is a very strong negotiator. These skills have helped her in negotiating and closing real estate deals on a win-win note. This is evident from the several accolades and achievements she has bagged over the years, some of which are the President’s Club Award, The Diamond Award, Red Diamond Award, The Platinum award, Virtual Master Skills Award and many more.

During the Pandemic, Nancy put on her marketing hat and earned the Virtual Master’s Award in her role as Real Estate Professional. This stirred her inner zest to do something in the similar lines. She got an intuition of “Why not bring inspiring stories of ordinary people doing extraordinary things?” which gave birth to her dream of launching her own podcast called Lifedcoded.

Nancy holds her Master’s degree in Commerce, from the Bombay University. She is fluent in four languages: English, Konkani, Hindi & Marathi. In the year 1999, Nancy immigrated from India to Toronto, Canada. After moving to Canada, she got certified and worked as an Immigration Consultant, Mortgage Professional, Canadian Traffic & Transportation Coordinator (CITT) and currently as Real Estate Professional. She is a member of Canadian Real Estate Association, Ontario Real Estate Association, Toronto Real Estate Board and former member of Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council. She uses her spare time resourcefully, by helping out in her community, running an ethnic community centre, where the seniors and youth come together to mix, mingle, play poker, board games, hold seminars and other activities. She also organizes community events which promote her mother tongue Konkani, she showcases her talents in these events, by acting, dancing and compering. She also takes part in various fundraising activities, blood donation drives, participating in marathon races, travelling, reading and exploring the outdoors are her other hobbies.

Nancy is very driven and always strive to reach higher goals. She loves challenges and in the May of 2014, she started honing her running skills and ran her first Toronto Yonge street 10K run, and in the same year she ran the Mississauga 10K run and the Toronto Scotia half marathon. In 2015, she ran her first marathon and from then on, it was no looking back, she consistently ran one marathon every year, spanning different countries from USA to Iceland. In 2017, she took part in the CN tower climb for nature, to raise funds for the World Wildlife and in 2021 she did the “Million Reasons Run” to raise funds for the Sick kids.

Nominated for the 2022 Canadian Realestate Association’s prestigious Realtor Care Award from among 140,000 realtors across Canada.
